Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MA, LMFT, is an international teacher of Somatic Psychology and trauma specialist. She is a Somatic Psychotherapist with 20 + year clinical experience and long time meditation teacher. She directs the Hakomi Institute of California and created a somatic trauma healing method called “Dharma of Trauma”.

Manuela has a coaching practice with business leaders in Silicon Valley.
She helps teams and organizations work through their challenges to develop a culture of compassionate leadership. She is the Chief of Somatic Psychology at Abroad where she develops innovative programs that bring trauma-informed wisdom and practices to the workplace.
Her teaching integrates perspectives from Somatic Psychology, trauma therapy, mindfulness, psychedelic research and other wisdom traditions. When we connect with the experience of trauma as a healing process we discover the innate wisdom in our bodies.

Manuela has worked with many diverse cultures and types of trauma. She has treated first responders, survivors of abuse and political torture, and work related stress and trauma. She has been a therapist and researcher in Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD.

She is the author of Somatic Psychotherapy toolbox: 125 worksheets and exercises to treat trauma and stress (PESI) and 8 keys to Practicing Mindfulness (W.W.Norton)
