Dr Rubin is a Director of Global Nutrition and Regulatory Affairs for Mars. Over the last 3 years, she has been focused on building a regulatory compliance and nutrition team to enable the launch of the recently acquired KIND brand in 40 countries. Dr Rubin joined Mars in 2016, first as Sr. Principal Scientist in Global Scientific and Regulatory affairs with responsibility for regulatory and policy engagement and the translation of nutrition science to inform research strategy. In 2017 she became the Interim Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs leading the Americas region.
Kristin started her food industry career at Kraft Foods, where she most recently led the Nutrition group for North America and was responsible for brand nutrition communication and scientific affairs. In her 10 years at Kraft, she held various positions in Nutrition Research and Scientific and Regulatory Affairs as technical lead in the development and execution of health and wellness strategy and nutrition research innovation platforms.

Dr Rubin earned a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences from the University of Connecticut where her research focused on the individual response to diet. She currently has the pleasure of serving as the Sustaining Partners Vice Chair for the American Society for Nutrition. Her passions are creating science-based products and services that help people thrive; and supporting the future of nutrition research.
