In The Room
(WHERE IT HAPPENS)
Download In The Room SummaryIn the Room is a new format we’re pioneering at TWIN Tech 2020.
Each of our 21, 45-minute sessions, spread over three timeslots on September 23, will feature one or two ‘speakers’… really more like discussion leaders. A moderator manages each segment. Each moderator will manage one of the seven 3-segment progressions between 10:00 am–1:00 pm CT.
Each segment is limited to 20 people.
Please, choose one time slot and one topic. You can only register for the total of 3 sessions.

What should post-2020 brands focus on to survive and thrive? Everyone’s a marketer and a journalist now, with their smart thumbs tapping on smart phones. No brand is good enough, in a world untangling the wrongs of the past.

A work of art to contemplate
For your consideration:
“Man is a Religious Animal. He is the only Religious Animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion — several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his theology isn’t straight.”
Mark Twain
“He who can no longer stand in awe is as good as dead.”

We have issues of social justice, financial inequity and inclusion. The narrative in the U.S. is often black and white, yet in a multicultural country we lack knowledge about each other, our histories, traumas and politics. Morgan Stanley argues that multiculturalism is one of America’s competitive advantages, yet corporate America and their boards don’t look like us.

In a galaxy not so far away, social media used to be a weapon of mass disruption. Users used to treasure their devices and praise technology. Entrepreneurs used to innovate for the sake of innovation.
The tech fairy dust doesn’t fool us anymore. Users have turned into citizens calling for answers. Data consciousness is the new black. The fight against ‘Big Tech’ casts tech platforms like villains from Marvel comics.
Can we reboot the social contract? How can tech bring more solutions than problems. Are we at a turning point between digital elites, the tech workforce… and everyone else?
