The world comes to TWIN.
And TWIN goes to the world.

You never know where we’ll be next. It might be Israel, “the start-up nation,” to learn how that tiny country has managed to play such a big role in technology, cybersecurity and healthcare. Or Panama, the gateway to Latin America, where expanding the Canal has kept it a vital player in global trade.

We also trekked to the Kingdom of Bhutan to attend that country’s Gross National Happiness conference. In Europe, we’ve visited Ireland, Italy, Berlin and beyond.
Adventurers at heart, TWINians have traveled all over the world in groups ranging from 10 to 40 people to gain the kinds of insights only possible first-hand.
2024
Rwanda
Join our TWIN Expedition to Rwanda Jan 28 – 31 (‘business’ portion) and Feb 1 – 4 (‘touring’ portion). We already have 20 people eager to join us and we’ll cap participation at 25, so let me know soon if you’re interested.
2019
Finland & Estonia
These two Nordic countries on the Baltic Sea have generated innovation and prosperity far beyond their size. We visited technology, innovation, academic, government and arts leaders for truly locals’ perspectives thanks to TWINians Kaarina Koskenalusta, Juhani Talvia and Sten-Kristian Saluveer. Special thanks to TWINian and former Finnish Prime Minister Esko Aho for a private roundtable conversation over dinner in one of Helsinki’s landmark establishments.
2018
TWIN Visits Worldwide
In 2018 and early 2019, Professor Wolcott visited a dozen cities worldwide to connect with our TWINians during our spinout from Kellogg.

Destinations included Paris, Venice, Zurich, Berlin, Tokyo, New York, Denver, LA
2017
Ireland
The Emerald Isle (some of the rocks are green!) boasts one of the world’s leading global business and technology ecosystems. We visited business, academic and government leaders in Dublin, Galway and Limerick before heading down to Kenmare and the Ring of Kerry for one of their rare clear, sunny days.

Thanks to TWINians John Power, Damian McLoughlin and Dermot McEvoy and our in-country hosts from UCD Smurfit School of Business and Eversheds Sutherland.
2016
Italy
Our TWIN Sibling organization, H-Farm, hosted us in Venice to explore how our network could engage more actively across the Continent.

TWINians Maurizio Rossi, Tomas Barraza and Moriella Kowalski provided views of Venice and the Veneto countryside few visitors receive.
2015
Bhutan
When Professor Wolcott was invited to speak for the Government of Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness Conference, he asked if he could invite TWINians. The Royal Government agreed, and a dozen of us visited this Himalayan nation for the first time.

We also serendipitously met our TWIN Sibling organization, Abroad.io, on that Expedition.
2014
Israel
Some of our most engaged TWINians have significant business and personal ties with Israel, the “Startup Nation.”

We visited Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Masada— and Yitz Applbaum’s beautiful fourth floor party space and wine “cellar” overlooking Jerusalem’s old city.
2013
Panama
Our TWIN Expedition to Panama, hosted by Banco General, Copa Airlines and the Panama Canal Authority, included a private visit to the Panama Canal expansion project, one of the largest transportation infrastructure initiatives on the planet.

Thanks to Luis Garcia de Parades of Banco General, for being an exceptional host.
2012
Brazil
This Expedition launched our TWIN Catalyst for the global mining and resources industries.

It resulted in major industry-wide initiatives and the founding of the Development Partner Institute (www.dpimining.org), an independent non-profit now based in Washington, D.C.
