Jørn Bang Andersen has been Denmark´s Trade Commissioner to Italy since 2017. Beginning in August 2021, he will be trade commissioner to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. He will also be regional trade coordinator to the UAE, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, and Iran. Prior to his job as trade commissioner, Mr. Andersen served as senior advisor on innovation and global economic development for the Nordic governments.
For a number of years, Mr. Andersen acted as senior advisor on technology and innovation for the EU Commission, Estonia, the OECD, and the World Economic Forum. He has written several articles and published books on business model innovation. He holds an MA in Political Science from Aarhus University, Denmark, and an MA in Western European Politics from the University of Essex.
