Profile

Gould leads Exelon’s strategic planning, sustainability, and innovation programs. In his capacity as Head of Corporate Strategy and Chief Innovation Officer, he convenes and facilitates executive level sessions to build consensus on a vision of the energy future, and leads several programs that serve as mechanisms for Exelon to act on its beliefs, including: Exelon’s internal new business accelerator, and its partnership research and development program. In his role as Chief Sustainability Officer, Gould designs and drives the execution of Exelon’s climate change initiatives and commitments to reduce greenhouse gases.
In addition to corporate leadership, Gould devotes himself to philanthropic activities that are aligned with my passion for arts and nature. He serves as Treasurer of the board of The Nature Conservancy – Illinois Chapter, and is a board member of Writers Theatre in Glencoe, Illinois. He was recently invited to join Fast Company’s Impact Council, and was named to Crain’s Chicago Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list.

Professional History

Education

Prior to Exelon, Gould served in a variety of engineering and project management roles in the environmental and infrastructure professional services sector.
Gould earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA. He received his MBA in finance from the University of Pittsburgh.

Family

Chris and his wife Yana reside in Wilmette, IL. They have one son, Zachary and two daughters, Maya and Adeline.
