Christopher Gebhardt is an innovative brand builder whose focus is on using social impact and purpose as drivers of brands and businesses. For 9 years, Chris was an EVP at Participant Media, the company that created films like An Inconvenient Truth, FoodInc, Waiting for Superman, Spotlight, and Lincoln. Chris created the digital side of Participant and then an agency/consultancy that worked with brands and foundations on impact/purpose strategies and storytelling. Clients included American Express, Starbucks, Disney, Intel, Gates Foundation, MacArthur Foundation and others. During this time, Chris became a thought leader in purpose-driven brand building and in the neuroscience of storytelling. He spun out from Participant in 2016, launching Stir Strategy and Story. Prior to Participant, Chris was with Ogilvy, Pepsi, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has an accounting undergrad and an MBA from Kellogg. He is invested in and advises early stage ventures and teaches 360 brand.
