COL (RET) Alan D. Landry is a dynamic leader with a proven track record spanning over 40 years in the public and private sectors.  Few leaders in the world have his very unique and stellar combination of strengths, skills and leadership wisdom.

Alan Landry served in the U.S. Army for more than 26 years, retiring as a Colonel of Air Defense Artillery. He served in a variety of Army, Joint command and staff positions in the United States, Germany, Korea, Kosovo and Saudi Arabia, including command of 2-43 ADA (PATRIOT) Battalion, XVIIIth Airborne Corps. 


Col Landry is a veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and of the NATO Peace Support Operations in Kosovo, (which profoundly influenced his views on diversity/inclusion and ethnic strife.)  Landry was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, and 6 awards of the Meritorious Service Medal, among many other awards, decorations and recognitions during his brilliant military career.

He joined Raytheon Missile Systems after retirement from his military career, serving in a variety of leadership positions in strategy and business development, including Director of Business Development for the Land Combat Product Line in Tucson, Arizona, as well as Director of Strategy for Raytheon Missile Systems $6B annual revenue business. 


Alan has proved himself to be an expert leader, strategist, mentor, innovator and diversity/inclusion advocate.  While at Raytheon, he created a mentor organization for over 50 emerging leaders and sustained the organization for over 5 years. Alan also served as a Raytheon Diversity and Inclusion “Game Changer” for over 5 years, a leadership position within the company to create positive change in this critical area. 


In 2012, Col Landry was awarded the coveted Raytheon Excellence in Mentorship Award, an award limited to only 30 recipients across the 70,000-employee base. In 2005 he also received the Raytheon Corporate Excellence in Business Development Team Award. Alan supported numerous internal and external Raytheon audiences across the organization with presentations on leadership, mentorship, strategy, strategic planning, and diversity/inclusion.  He continues to lead strong programs, offering a unique ability to leverage his extensive military and industry experiences to personalize these critically important topics.  Landry is known for his ability to connect with very diverse groups and organizations in ways that challenge, motivate and inspire them to be better as teams, leaders and followers. 


He has honorably served on the El Paso Holocaust Museum Board of Directors, served as an ex-officio member of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and was awarded the El Paso Conquistador Award by the Mayor.


Col Alan Landry earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., a Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the Army Command and General Staff College, and a second Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS).  He is also a graduate of the Army War College, where he also served as a guest lecturer on Strategic Planning.
