One of the wonderful developments of our 15 year history has been the inspiration several groups of TWINians have found to build their own TWIN-affiliated networks. Each year, all of these organizations are represented at TWIN Global, making good on our vision of TWIN as a "network of networks.”
The first was TWIN ASEAN (originally KIN ASEAN), a forum for 100 invited delegates from across Asia that takes place each December in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our Indonesian partner, MarkPlus, founded and leads TWIN ASEAN in collaboration with TWIN.
TWINian Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper collaborated with TWIN Co-Founder Peter Bryant to adapt our model for COIN, the Colorado Innovation Network. Kelly Quann, a former KIN Student Leader, served as the COIN's first director.
The Japan Innovation Network’s (JIN) primary focus is on enhancing innovation initiatives at mid-size and large corporations. It also provides services to universities, researchers, start-up hubs, public agencies and embassies, creating a vibrant and unique cross-disciplinary network. Co-founder Hiro Nishiguchi and his team have built the JIN into a pivotal resource for innovation in Japan and outreach to our TWIN community worldwide.
